Process

From first enquiry to a written household plan

Financial advice and consulting works best when both sides know the stages. Here is how a typical Redwick Family Finance engagement progresses.

Share the question you are carrying

Use the enquiry form or phone us. Tell us whether you need a full family plan, a retirement income review, an inheritance conversation, or a cash flow check. We reply within one working day with suggested meeting times.

Gather a light document pack

We send a short checklist: recent bank statements, payslips or pension summaries, existing life or income protection schedules, and a note of known upcoming costs. Incomplete packs are fine — we work with what you have and flag gaps.

Meet for a structured conversation

Sessions run at our Nolan Gardens office or by video for clients elsewhere in the UK. We walk through income, outgoings, dependents, and goals. Partners are welcome; adult children may join inheritance conversations when everyone agrees.

Receive written recommendations

You receive a plain-English summary with priorities, suggested timelines, and any points that need a solicitor, accountant, or separate product arrangement. A follow-up call is included so questions do not linger unanswered.

What to expect on timing

A cash flow health check can conclude in a single extended session. Family Financial Planning usually spans three to four weeks. Retirement and inheritance work sits in between, depending on how many pots or family members are involved.

We schedule around school holidays and shift patterns where we can — household life rarely fits a rigid weekday diary.
